Martha’s Vineyard is a beautiful place; and this season we are helping our guests explore all that the island has to offer. Our tailored excursions offer Harbor View Hotel guests a chance to explore different aspects of the island. Whether you are interested in food, culture or nature, we have an experience ready to make your trip the trip of a lifetime. All of these experiences are bookable via our concierge team, so leave all the planning and logistics to us, we take care of everything so all you have to do is have fun!

With temperatures getting warmer, now is the time to start planning those summer getaways. What better way to enjoy a trip on the Vineyard than by hopping on a bike or a kayak and exploring the island? After a year of being cooped up, we could all use some time outdoors!

Outdoor Excursions

Our signature excursions include bike tour options visiting Chappaquiddick Island, exploring the Cape Poge Wildlife Refuge and much more.

• Cape Poge Lighthouse Tour & Refuge Prowl: Trek to the remote Cape Poge Lighthouse on this exciting tour. You’ll be driven over sand by a professional guide, while learning about the local nature and history, while also checking out the local wildlife. You’ll also get to hike up to the top of the lighthouse—so plan on taking lots of pictures—you won’t want to miss the view! This tour is available starting Memorial Day Weekend and will be offered throughout the summer.
• Cape Poge Kayak & Safari: If you are really feeling adventurous and want to get out on the water, sign up for our Kayak Safari. Discover the pristine waters of Chappaquiddick and the marine life that lives there. Learn about the biological history of the area while on a fun kayak trip during the excursion. This is perfect for the whole family, children over the age of 5 are welcome to join. This trip will be so much fun on a warm summer’s day and will be offered throughout the season.

We can’t wait to share our amazing local ecosystem and flora and fauna with our guests this summer. We are so happy to now be offering turnkey experiences where guests get out and explore the striking nature of our little slice of paradise first hand. These experiences were made for outdoors lovers.
