Behind the View

Behind The View is a casual, yet lively cocktail lounge that offers a diverse selection of upscale comfort food. The cuisine is a delightful fusion of classic New England dishes and international inspirations. An emphasis on shared plates and appetizers alongside handcrafted cocktails and premium spirits creates a fun and social atmosphere. Entrée options are also available for lunch and dinner. Tucked behind the elegant Bettini Restaurant in the former Clubhouse space, with access to the outdoor veranda and view, Behind The View is sure to be Edgartown’s newest hot spot!

The restaurant’s theme is a tribute to the rich history of the Harbor View Hotel and the countless guests it has served for over 130 years. The decor is vintage, featuring velvet green curtains, historic green-colored paint, and gold appointments. People from all over the world have come to admire the breathtaking views from the iconic hotel, but it’s the stories from ‘behind the view’ that have become legendary.

Table and bar seating is limited and is first come, first serve, but there is plenty of room to enjoy a drink inside or outside on the veranda! We look forward to seeing you.
