Directly across from us, take a stroll to the Edgartown Lighthouse and beach.
  • AQUINNAH | Islander’s Tip: The westernmost town on Martha’s Vineyard offers perfect spots for over-water sunsets. The Lighthouse overlooks the red clay cliffs and the Elizabeth Islands. For breathtaking views of Vineyard Sound, visit the Aquinnah Cliffs (Gay Head Cliffs).
  • OAK BLUFFS | Islander’s Tip: The “Gingerbread Cottages” are iconic to the Vineyard, officially known as the Martha’s Vineyard Camp Meeting Association. You can access all 330 cottages from the perimeter near Oak Bluffs Harbor or via walkways from Circuit Avenue.
  • VINEYARD HAVEN | Islander’s Tip: Vineyard Haven, a charming village in Tisbury, serves as Martha’s Vineyard’s year-round hub.
  • CHILMARK | Islander’s Tip: The Best beach to catch the sunset. Chilmark is home to the charming fishing village of Menemsha, known for its stunning ocean views, rolling hills, and tree-lined roads lined with farm stands.

Self Guided Island Tours

All tours begin and end at the historic Harbor View Hotel. With 130 years of history behind it, the historic Harbor View Hotel has been faithfully restored. Dubbed the Crown Jewel of Martha’s Vineyard, Harbor View Hotel was at the heart of the tourist trade that saved Edgartown after the dawn of the whaling industry. Complimentary Bicycles

Stretching the length and breadth of the island, there are close to 100 miles of bike paths – some along beautiful beaches, others through forests or alongside quiet country roads. Harbor View Hotel, guests can take a short walk or bike ride to The Chappy Ferry. Once on Chappaquiddick Island, you can explore and enjoy nature. Some highlights include Cape Poge Wildlife Refuge, Wasque Point for fishing and surfing, Mytoi Japanese Garden, Dike Bridge, Pocha Pond and East Beach.
