Boating and Water Sports

Located on the Edgartown Harbor and Atlantic Ocean, there are many popular boating activities and watersports to enjoy from sailing to fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing, and more. The hotel concierge will be delighted to assist you in choosing the perfect excursion for you.

Chappaquiddick Island

Located across the harbor from the Harbor View Hotel, guests can take a short walk or bike ride to The Chappy Ferry. The Ferry takes passengers 527 feet from Memorial Wharf in Edgartown (53 Dock Street) to Chappaquiddick Point. Once on Chappy, it’s time to explore and enjoy nature. Some highlights include Cape Poge Wildlife Refuge, Wasque Point for fishing and surfing, Mytoi Japanese Garden, Dike Bridge, Pocha Pond and East Beach.

Golf

Plan a friends’ golf trip or sneak in a round during your stay at one of several beautiful, 18-hole, island golf courses, including Farm Neck Golf Course, dubbed “The Pebble Beach of the East”. (Golf courses are not part of the resort. Our concierge will be happy to help you find a public course and arrange a tee time.)

Bird Watching

Over 300 species of birds are known to inhabit Martha’s Vineyard. However, birds from all over the east coast can be found here, including the European cuckoo, the blackburnian warbler, the magnolia warbler, the bay-breasted warbler, the Canadian warbler and the black-throated blue warbler.
