Discover The Historic Building
The Historic guest rooms reflect the island’s natural beauty through a tranquil color scheme of soft brown, blue and cream as well as a native oak tree motif sprinkled throughout textiles. Mahogany and polished brass hallmark the furnishings, nodding to the Vineyard’s whaling and sailing heritage. Stylish new bathrooms feature glossy cobalt blue walk-in showers.
The Historic Building is at the center of the property, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Chappaquiddick Island and Edgartown Harbor from the front. The original structure dates back to 1891 and has been renovated many times over the years. Most recently, the building went through a multi-million dollar restoration, keeping the historic charm, while modernizing all rooms, restaurants and common spaces.
