Harbor View Hotel is honored to support the Martha’s Vineyard community through meaningful philanthropic initiatives and financial contributions. We are committed to uplifting youth education, workforce development, the arts, environmental conservation, and the overall well-being of the Island.

Since acquiring the property in 2018, owner Bernard Chiu has demonstrated remarkable generosity by making substantial annual cash and in-kind donations to a range of local organizations. He has also fostered a culture of giving among employees, encouraging volunteerism and active participation in efforts that enrich both the community and the guest experience.

As part of this ongoing commitment, Harbor View Hotel includes a voluntary 1% MV Community Fee on nightly room rates. Every dollar collected is deposited into the MV Community Fund and dedicated exclusively to supporting local organizations and driving positive change on the Island. This fee is entirely optional and may be waived upon request.
